Wooo
Wooo, which stands for ‘We own our own’, is a new online community website where users can buy and sell; find the latest local news and; upload their own news and information; and discuss local issues on the website forums. Users can create their own local online community complete with classified listings and local news, information and message boards.
Wooo allows users to sell items to people in their area. Users can browse adverts or use a keyword to search across the entire range of ads, from homes and gardens and pets to leisure, sound and vision and ‘you and yours’ (covering clothes, toys, books, models, nursery furniture, prams, pushchairs, watches, jewellery, weddings, notices).
Registered users also enjoy lots of powerful features such as editing, rebooking or deleting personal adverts; saving searches; and looking at maps showing seller locations.
Wooo currently carries 130,000 ads and will be supported by an SEM campaign to optimise searches on selected websites including Google. Wooo aims to be the UK’s no 1 free classified website and online community within 18 months of launch.
